It's much easier to create an emotional response if the theme itself doesn't change/has staying power or at the very least, retains key aspects through its evolution, i.e. the theme grows and evolves in-step with the character's growth and evolution.

Good example: Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker

Sometimes, you need a major pivot to drive home the character (Tribal Chief Reigns), but in general, familiarity tends to be the way.

He's right.

The music is a lot of what made me a wrestling fan back in the day, now they all have the same generic music.

I think a lot of that is that music was just better in the '90s and guys like Jim Johnston & Jimmy Hart had better music to crib from :yeshrug:

Generic Trap & generic metal is what's popular now :francis:
