It's not just about saying something that was said before. It's the context of the phrase and the fact that jay used it under the radar, and tried to pass it off as his own hot line that makes it biting.

For example, if I say "I got 2 kids and 3 babymommas, don't ask me how" you know exactly where I got it from. Yeah I changed the line up a bit, but I'm just rehashing a line that I heard before. DMX used the phrase in this context first and jay-z followed. I don't see how that's a reach at all.

No not trolling. I was sitting at work listening to my old DMX mix and I heard the line, and in my opinion jay used the line the same way DMX did. Yes I say it sometimes as do allot of people on this site. And everytime i say it I'm referencing the Jigga line. Again it's not about the words that were used but HOW they where used. DMX said some shyt that doesn't really make sense literally and instead of explaining himself he said "don't ask me how" jay said some shyt that doesnt make sense literally and instead of explaining himself he said "don't ask me how" they used the in the same way, and the same way that all of us do when purposely referencing the Jigga line.
