She no where near Sade level (Not vocally touching Sade, Will never have a band as good as Sade/Sweetback)

This album almost feels like one song but there are some standout tracks....(Eternal Sunshine, WAYS, Wading)

Its great mood music, she makes joints that as a dude I don't mind bumping at all. Its not to lovey dovey, and not too hard core. She's def found her lane, I'd say she's the female Drake (:lolbron:)

She can write really well, sing ok enough to get by, and knows how to get on a track and own it. It makes sense now when I think about it when she say's she feels like drake is her soul mate musically. There pretty much the same person.

Sade had more bounce?(in no way she fukking with Sade but that statement don't make sense to me)

This and Marsha Amb. Album(friends & lovers) are by far the best CDs(although I did think Beyoncé album was dope).
Bounce = groove/ drums and yes she did.

You can actually do a two step to Sade's music.

With Jhene's music, you can barely nod your head to the non existent groove.

for all the folks in here talking about Sade.. she rarely has ever done shows.. :comeon:

their not one in the same.. but- their production carries them both..
Have you heard Sade live!? Sade's Live performances sound the same as her voice on wax. Her voice is great live. Jhene needs work.

Jessie Ware is closer to Sade than J'hene

ive seen both live.. Sade isnt some great live singer.. nor, is Jhene Aiko..

are we really comparing singers who arent that great live, to one another..? :why:

they have similarities live.. but- not in their content, or projects.. that was/is my point.. of course Sade is a better artist.. this is without question.. im talking live.. Sade rarely, and still never does many live sets.. you can find great sets of Led Zeppelin, but its known they didnt translate live.. great band.. great singer.. same concept..

these dudes say the most ridiculous sh!t around here.. :russ:

If you are going by her more recent stuff it's not that silly a comment. What makes her stand out is the bounce is very so slight.

As to Jhene Aiko, I actually think of her almost as an electro-pop Erykah Badu, which in and of it self is paradoxical as Erykah was on that wave back in 08 with the 1st New Amerykah album and still managed to infuse it with soul. I also she may be more in line with Frank Ocean than Drake from an artstic standpoint though again Frank has grown considerably more as an artist. With this really being her 3rd release, I think she makes good vibe music, but its like Chinese food, it tastes good but you're hungry two hours later.

I swear I don't remember Sade music having crazy bounce.

And all though I LOVE Sade her vocals isn't all that crazy(I still wouldn't compare her to Jhene Aiko)

I never said it was crazy bounce. It's a slight bounce. The tempo/beat have a bouncy rhythm to it. You can't tell the difference between this

and

This?

You can even pick from her recent stuff. The overall tone of Sade is smoothJazz/Funk/easy listening which is more bouncy than jhene's sound.

vs
electro/pop/edm/r&b Hip Hop sound

There is a reason why one artist gets played on jazz stations more and the other on pop/r&b/hiphop stations more.

Jhene is a poor woman's Amerie.

Her music is chill , it doesn't give me any replay value whatsoever.

Fly ass pieces is probably the best song I've heard her on to date .... oh and 3:16 pm (burning man).
