Bill Watts. /thread

This. By the end of '92, the wheels started comin' off, fast.

They had a solid year overall, but around Halloween Havoc and the last couple months with those bullshyt rules and all that, nah.

Watch SuperBrawl '92 tho... or the Great American Bash... :blessed: Watts starts with his bullshyt, then you got Halloween Havoc and well... :snoop:

Watching this era WCW in real time with my cousins as a kid as well as running it back via non network sources; I agree with the trope that Hogan and The Outsiders jumping to Atlanta saved WCW

Could you imagine Bill Watts rules from 96-99? :scust:

And speaking of Watts, JR’s SCSA like overboard stanning of him in his book is wild. JR danced around Watts’ racist letter that got him fired tho :mjpls:

Talent delivered on PPVs hence the fond memories, but management failed tremendously on TV.

Watch a few weeks of TV in a row and you'll realize that segments for important storylines REGULARLY aired out of order. The organization was a mess. The all-time great roster just did their thing on PPVs and delivered quality to keep them afloat.

Their creativewriting was bad and they were still reeling from Flair leaving. Plus business as a whole tanked in 92

The 718
And in '93 they filmed like 3 months worth of tapings all at once at the Disney studio and presented title changes and shyt that never even happened yet since most of the audience weren't even wrestling fans, just tourists whom they instructed when to cheer or boo. At one point Sid was coming out as WCW champion but then he got in the fight with Arn and was fired so they had to scrap it all :russ:
