Kay over the last year is slowly earning my respect. He's becoming more objective, he'll go in if you deserve it. The corniness is toned down a bit, and he won

The mutha****in BX
even with all his double plays and weak defense, jeter is the last of a dying breed.

he's the only guy I trust in a big spot.

this team is filled with so many wack, butterscotch soft nikkas.

Far be it from me to suggest Yankee fans have a little perspective on things... Pineda hasn't thrown a pitch all season; Sabathia, ARod, Tex, Curtis, Nova and others have all missed chunks of time; Gardner hasn't been with the team; 5 washed up players are getting significant playing time and on any given night there are as many as 4 automatic outs in the lineup.

The Yankees are fortunate to have a shot at an AL East title and a playoff spot coming down the stretch. Be happy they're getting some players back and might have a run in them, because this is a deeply flawed team.

:wtf:At not even metioning Mo. Did you expect anything out of Pineda? Gardner is the fastest player on the team yet refuses to steal a base if these are the guys keeping the Yanks from the playoffs then fukk this team really does suck.

Soriano has done a great job filling in for Mo, not having Mo isn't the problem. Gardner was maturing into a nice leadoff hitter, and he plays a better CF than what the Yankees have gotten on defense out of the position this season. His speed - no matter how inconsistent he is in utilizing it - is a significant threat at the top of the lineup.

As for Pineda, what in the fukk kind of retarded question is that? Yes, I expected something out of him - to actually pitch some quality innings this year and not be a broken down worthless piece of pitching scrap metal.

My point is this is an old and flawed team that has been depleted by injuries. The Yankees are very fortunate to still be in first place at this point in the season. The world isn't ending. Yankee fans are so delusional and entitled that they expect runaway AL East titles out of whatever team trots onto the field.

Strap in and enjoy a playoff race for the next 28 games.

Having Mo makes the bullpen deeper Mo 9th, Soriano 8th, DRob 7th Girardi wouldnt have to do all that bullshyt mixing and matching. Is it delusional to expect players to be accountable for there shytty play and not playing up to expectations. I understand what your saying this team had some tough breaks but the way they are playing right now is not acceptable.

:ehh: I agree but it bothers me watching Cano play the way he plays. If he played better now with these injuries, the team imo wouldn't be losing an abundance of games down the stretch.

Wouldn't shock me if Soriano opts out at the end of the year & asks for an extension. I'd give it to him if I'm the Yankees, too...even with Boras as his agent. :leon:

I feel you, but the bullpen has been cool in general. Starters have been eh lately. The lineup is garbage. But yeah, the play hasn't exactly been inspired. I'm just happy they have a chance this late in the season, as poorly as they've played.

Cano has been wack with RISP, and he loafs, but he's still not a big problem. Injuries and automatic outs throughout the lineup are the real issues, I think.

Yeah. In fairness, this isn't the most likeable team. Not a lot to be excited about on this squad, not a lot of personality, not much youth.
