I want every MCU show from now on to be 10 episodes because all of them suffer from dragging in the middle. I enjoyed S1 and was curious how they'd carry S2 and it was good, I just disliked everyone else's subplot. Especially Trish :beli:

Killgrave was severely missed, her mom was just angry and a bit one note after awhile, even though she wasn't really the villain. It's decent but these MCU shows are starting to peak and I'm not sure where else they might go.

I think i stopped around episode 4... maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago, and i just haven't had the interest to return.

Honestly, it took me far longer than usual to even finish Punisher which was weird bc 1.) i thought it was pretty good and 2.) in the past i'd binge most of the Marvel netflix shows in less than a week, with the entire opening weekend dedicated to watching as much as possible.

So it was with this series that it finally hit me: Iron Fist + Defenders back2back essentially killed my interest for this netflix universe. None of the pairings that we were looking forward to being introduced to in that show interest me now. Plus both those shows really exposed the budget restrictions and overall poor fight choreography when you have to rely on the actual actors instead of a stuntman with his face half-covered [DD]. And the overall stories and end game villains weren't engaging at all.

Basically the big payoff was a let down for me, that left me less interested now that these characters are back/stuck to their own devices. If anything, i'm curious if Luke Cage s2 will be able to grab/sustain my attention.. as i was not a big fan of them swapping out Misty for Claire as the main female lead/love interest., or with making Claire a borderline Mary Sue with how she was fighting off ninjas in IF and putting in more work than Misty vs the villains in LC s1.

Took me 3 weeks to finish
fukked up part is she got NONE of the blowback. She got off scott free for all the bullshyt she did. Everyone in her vicinity suffered. Except her. She fukked over everyone around her. Her boyfriend, Jessica, Malcolm, Jessica’s Mom, Karl, etc etc.
She killed Jessica’s moms in cold blood while she was face to face wit her. That bytch wouldve became my mortal enemy at that point. [\spoiler]

What makes it worse is Jessica ended up having to take the rap for that shyt while she got off scott free. bytch deserved to die imo.
Trish was ride or die and the type of friend anyone would want all through season 1, but that moment there nullified all of that

Took me 3 weeks to finish, I stopped mid season and just finished.

Trish's character is the most annoying thing in this whole season. That and a lack of a clear villain were the main detriments.

This shyt needs a villain ... On ep 8 and my God this shyt is bad

I got to about episode 6 before I realized ain’t shyt going on this season. I think it was the scene when she slept with the bytch ass landlord, I turned it off immediately at that point and have no desire to get back into it. I blame iron fist none of the marvel shows have been the same since. Even punisher was slow as fukk. Iron fist killed the Netflix universe, it was so wack all the other shows are now not as interesting

jesus that was a chore to get through

6/10 and that may be too generous

bore fest from episode to episode aside from when killgrave came back and the last episode mommy daughter road trip until the writers couldnt decide how to end it and pulled that slop ending out their ass

On a side note, Trish’s mother is legit one of the worst human beings on TV right now and it pisses me off, almost to the point of wanting to throw my remote at the TV, at how she isn’t treated worse by Trish and Jessica.

From basically selling her young teenage daughter to executives to enabling her drug habit in her teens/twenties, to constantly referring to a mid 30s Trish as “Patsy” consistently, over the phone, in person, on TV, to other people, I don’t understand how she’s still breathing.

It’s like the writers or the show itself is caught between her being a legitimate monster, and wanting us to feel like she’s just a wacky older lady.

Nah, she’s a complete and utter scumbag and if I was gonna continue with this show (I’m not), I would be actively rooting for her death.

Man... some of these Marvel shows aren’t just kinda falling below the mark of good TV, at points, they are almost amateurishly bad. As if the people involved are doing this for the first time.

Yea she was the real villian and fukk her powers too. That bytch did whatever she wanted no matter how stupid and selfish it was got away with murder and lucked into some powers she wanted. I’m glad Jessica got in her ass in the hospital and at least doesn’t fukk with her no more. But she deserves a good ass whooping.

The show turned out to be pretty good tho, not season 1 good but it picked up after so 6. I will say that unlike season 1 I’m not looking forward to another season and this show has slipped down the ranks of marvel shows. I feel like they are out of ideas already.

As a comic reader, I brought this point up earlier in this thread before any of the episodes even aired: I was curious how this season would turn out because Jessica Jones original comic run wasn't that long. JJ season 1 was essentially them pulling everything they could pull from the 28 issue series.

The comic run essentially had 3 major plot points iirc:

-Jessica fukking Luke Cage [and getting pregnant]
-Jessica dealing with Killgrave
-Jessica stumbling onto Captain America's secret identity and encountering crooked politicians who wanted that info

The first two were already covered solidly and the 3rd one wasn't really applicable. And Trish and her ties to Jessica are completely made up. In the og comic run, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is Jessica's best friend. So basically going into season 2 I knew they were just winging it, but i wondered how well they could do that.

Yo that Moms bytch had me rolling with her crazy ass stares and all that spazzing out. Glad to see brotha man wasn't a complete simp, he still got played tho bytch put him in a trunk, lol.

Kinda disappointed Hellcat didn't get powered up sooner but I guess that's gonna be next season's plot. Not sure if I'll still give a damn by then but :yeshrug:
