Funny enough you would have thought Jesse would have made many more speeches from all the stuff going on after the awards. But we knew it was just to bring attention to the awards show.
Complaining to complain

did this speech result in anything? i remember a few of ya'll said that it was potentially life-changing
stillBecause its nothing more than a feel good gesture that no one plans to back up. Rhetoric without the equivalent action is worthless to me. Anyone could and has said the same platitude Jesse WIlliams did last night and yet we are still in the same position in 2016.
Damn man, you psychic now
Changed some lives alright
Science huh
Ok, so he has a black wife. Are their kids black? Or are they "mulattos" too like their father?
If they're not black, what are all of us (or at least many of us)? I mean isn't it commonly accepted that white men raped black women during slavery. If that's the case, did any kid who was the byproduct of that rape lose their blackness because a white man was their biological father?
I'm just trying to understand, you know, from a scientific perspective. What is an "actual real black person?" What is this quantifiable measurement that determines race which is apparently accepted by the scientific-minded community?
I watched this speech in real time and all I could think of was "oh boy these Coli nikkas gonna have a field day with his complexion"
If we have no identity, no language, no code of ethics then we have nothing.
