Many Hispanics would be considered black in America if they didn't have their nationalities assigned to them (Ricans, Dominicans, brazillians, etc). But that's besides the point. The fact is, Hispanics are victims of the very same racial profiling underscoring racism against blacks. It does us no good to distance ourselves from them when we are both victims of a system designed to preserve white supremacy and use Asians as a divisive proxy against blacks and Hispanics.

Hispanics don't worry about us because they are not yet a strong enough political force in our country. They're fighting for amnesty, worrying about the millions of Hispanic immigrants the right wingers want to deport. White supremacy is what black America is fighting against, and that system affects the Latino community, too.
