I don't get that. In every incarnation of Lex Luthor on the big and small screen the guy has never been physically imposing.
Hackman and Spacey looked every second of their middle-agedness in the Superman movies.
Dude on Smallville is taller than Eisenberg but they share the same sleight physique.
Lex on Lois and clark looked like your average suburban father of 3.
The cartoon Lex may have looked physically imposing but that was more about the stock way that all the male characters in those shows were drawn than about lex being jacked.
And in the comics Lex has fluctuated between skinny, old, fat and average.
Yeah whatever you think about smallville. michael rosenbaum killed it as lex. Probably what they're going for with jesse

Luthor is supposed to be appealing and look like a really good guy at face value, a guy you would always vote for, a person you would really like, a charismatic and fantastic speaker, a person who you could see becoming The President one day, whilst behind closed doors is an intimidating and ruthless man with no moral conscience who has a presence and swag.

Lex isn't some nerdy, snarky techno geek loner Zuckerberg type

Luthor is this

:heh: Can you really see Michael Cera telling someone like The Joker what to do with it coming across as convincing and threatening, fukk no

Breh, please don't say anything when Eisenberg comes out and murrrders this shyt. I don't wanna hear NOTHIN :pacspit:

I honestly feel that Luthor's physical stature is a pretty big part of the character much like it would be for anyone else IRL, but he REALLY takes care of his body. Tells you something about a man, breh.
Physically fit Luthor is one aspect of the character that has been played up by some writers in recent times but that is not the only or even most widely used version:

Back in October, Total Film asked a bunch of actors during promo interviews who they liked more Superman or Batman in anticipation for the film. Check out how quick the PR guy was to shut down any questions about Lex during Jesse Eisenberg's interview :ohhh::patrice::pachaha:

Affleck as Batman :lupe:
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman :stopitslime:
Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor :damnfloyd:

The only reason I'm not giving up total hope is Zack Snyder. But it's not looking good brehs :ld:

Anyways, is Lex even the main villain in this?
Not sure, there was that one rumor that lex was in the background and Metallo was the main villain.

And I am thinking they might make Lex more like an evil version of Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark. Maybe even give Eisenberg some lifts for his shoes like they do RDJ so he doesn't look so tiny next to the other actors.

I don't read much DC for real and I'm more of a Marvel fan in terms of the comics anyways, but I've never heard of a fat Luthor. Doesn't even seem right lol. Is that book good?

Honestly, you're right. Portrayals of Lex are inconsistent. But I was hoping for All Star Superman type Lex
