I have completely accepted that for the most part we are living in the DARK AGES when it comes to black creativity in entertainment(including music)

The creativity of the 80s,90s, and hell the early 2000s is LONG GONE

I think there is a lot of talent in terms of creativity, but whether or not they have the opportunity and funding to get their projects made is another story.

Even though there’s a lot of talent involved behind the scenes I can’t help but think this film is going to fail simply because Kid N Play, Full Force, Groove B Chill and Tisha Campbell were all actually MUSICIANS/RAPPERS who added to the musicality of the film. At its heart, House Party is a music film.


We’ll see but i’m not holding my breath

exactly... the main component of the film was the music and dancing.... people don’t dance any more at parties....this is a bad idea cause if they stick to what the film originally was, it’s not an accurate depiction of the current era; which loses all meaning of what the film was.
