Stand up comedy it killing right now. A lot of these comics are making crazy bread touring, largely in part because they can get their original stuff on YouTube without anyone else telling them to rewrite because it might offend people and people are showing up watching them perform. These guys are selling tickets and getting big deals from streaming platforms.

Jerry's talking about network shows not shows that are behind paywall where they have greater creative freedom.

However Family Guy has been around for 2 decades and that's about as offensive as Married with Children (both GOAT shows) and both shows are/were on network TV.

If you cater to a niche audience and cultivate it... it's pretty hard for you to get cancelled.

You can't expect to get NFL on TV audiences anymore. Everyone can't be universal this day in age....you niche down to find a nice core audience and scale your projects back.

Film your movies and TV shows with iPhones and just invest in microphones and lighting. Get lean and niche down the comedy and then you can even get casual folks to tune it if you become known as a certain topic comedian.

I tried to stick with Jerry thru the Kramer episode.

Recently I saw a clip of Jerry doing a softball interview with Kramer being sympathetic. Didn't sit right.

Now he's using the phrase "woke left". I'm out.

The Kramer thing was a perfect example. No one is saying you can't say what you want. But when your "joke" is calling someone a niqqer several times and talking about lynching him then it's what we woke people call hate speech and pure anti black racism.

You can say something edgy and still speak as a civilized person.

These people are mad that they can't be straight up discriminatory toward minority groups.

If your comedy requires that, then you not that funny.

And what about Bee Movie. That just flat out sucked. There was no politics involved, just unfunny.
