I agree there have been many Christ figures, but Nipsey wasn't one of them imo and there are no similarities. You have to reach another level, and be able to reach people in a way that Nipsey didn't do while he was alive.

"Jesus" impact through death >>> his impact while living.

Nipsey did not get his truth to resonate with people, and seemed to passive against bad behavior to be a Christ figure. "Jesus" would have told these gangs they ain't shyt at some point. The root of Jesus is being a truth teller,Nipsey never got crucified verbally or physically for telling too much truth. Guys like Malcolm X,Khalid Muhammad, those were Christ figures.

the massive outpour of love he's been shown proves otherwise :dahell:....Nipsey was B-level at best (popularity) while living. They sent him home like a king tho. :salute:

A respected street nikka/man of the people who showed love and led by example >>> some corny nikka wearing blue-and-red preaching to nikkas to put down the guns :mjlol:

Being a Christ figure is dangerous,if the people don't get you out of the paint, god will. Sometimes you have to die so that you become fractal as you were ahead of your time, because god knows the truth is wasted on that particular generation of black people. So there may have been purpose in Nipseys death as it will inspire, but not a Christ figure. I don't neccessarily believe in "Jesus" by the way,but do believe in god.

this all applies to Nip :usure::patrice:

like everything in life, this is all subjective.

:pacspit: BEEN a Christ figure....that's not even up for debate.

criticize Pac even a lil bit publicly and see what happens :skip:

point is, our community/culture has its own people to look up to and learn from (Malcolm, Martin, even a couple rappers who got shot) who are more relevant than a whitewashed myth :sas2:

Pac is a Christ figure no doubt, but Nipsey ain't:pachaha:.Nipsey was B list, probably moreso C-List in life no pun intended, and will more than likely be D-List in a few years time sadly. But we will see, look at the people that you named,Christ figures last forever.

Nipsey was more of what I guess you would call a prosperity preacher,or motivational speaker which arguably has its purpose. But Christ figure is a different level,Nipsey didn't convict enough people with the truth to be a Christ figure. Plus if he was broke and threw down his flag to work at UPS,would he be able to convince nikkas to ride with him with his words? They followed because they wanted to get to the bag with him and not get left behind. Nipsey is exposing the dollar bill is Christ to alot of nikkas,or bitcoin whichever you chose:respect:

If Jay-Z died people would say the same about him because he is getting money and showed others how, thats not a christ figure.

Nip was a positive person who left an inspiration legacy that we could do more. but that dont make you Jesus. If you believe the Gospel account Jesus was sinless, died in the cross and rose again. Its like saying Carmelo Anthony is Jordan because they both made shots.
