So it was the Shield attempting to save Punk.....again. What was the whole point of the denial and shyt if it wasn't going to be a swerve? They should have aligned with Punk from the get go. This shyt is about as satisfying as Nash texting himself. :belip:

I don't get why they don't go with Brock being behind the shield. They could have had a swerve where Rock won last night, but Heyman reveals that it wasn't in fact the shield but brock who attacked him and therefore Punk should be DQ and still retain the title. I know thats fukkery overload but there's your money Mania match right there

I just thought about that. If the Shield was trying to help Punk retain the title why turn off the light? They could have just ran in and beat Rock down drawing an automatic DQ. Vince probably would have still reversed the decision but they could beat him down so he can do his usual disappearance from TV. Plus it would put more heat on Punk and the Shield despite the title loss.

Agreed, the turning the lights off was completely pointless since there was no argument AT ALL afterwards about whether or not it was The Shield. There should have been more commotion/confusion there (I mean you had Cole saying it was The Shield point blank, as opposed to something along the lines of, you know, "it's too dark! I can't see who it is! what is going on?!). nikka all of a sudden has night vision?

The ending was going to be tricky with Rock winning the title. A Brock F5 on the re-started match, coupled by maybe a Cena run-in/save for the Rock would have been interesting, if not better. Cena can then go on his "I want my re-match victory over you to mean something more than when you beat me" steez.

What I'm wondering is how Punk & Heyman are going to go about responding to the match getting restarted without substantial camera evidence of The Shield being out there. Raw should be interesting. :notsure:

I'm also wondering if everyone missed Punk on Smackdown calling The Shield down to the ring and telling them not to get involved with his match. Wonder if we're going to get swerved on their alliance.
