They offered a scholarship along with 3 other schools. Lin didn't even have the option of being able to choose.

I dont know how true that is. They're always very specific when they talk about schools that didnt offer Lin a scholarship. Like they always say he didnt get offered a scholarship to a pac 10 team. I dont know coming out of high school if he was even good enough to deserve one. UCLA knew he could ball and offered him an opportunity to walk on, but he chose not to take them up on that offer.

:pacspit: at those schools not giving him a athletic scholarship because he is asian.

Again...I dont know how good he was coming out of high school. A lot of his accolades were a mixture of his teams success, his personal numbers, and his academic success.
