libertarians love people like Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III. civil rights is federal overreach. nothing in his history indicates someone who has views that a libertarian would find abhorrent enough to band together with democrats to block his appointment.Can the Dems align with a few GOP civil libertarians to block some of these appointments?

i've always felt it was important to do both, especially the latter. if a trump presidency leads to a focus on local and state elections by left leaning people then it will be a blessing. the left has been far too lazy unlike the right who saw every election starting with school board as important and only showing up to vote in presidential election years.
