Young Bucks will push to give him a job just so they can beat the tag team they so fukking desperately wish they were, on television where everyone can see them force these old men to 'pass the torch'. But... the fire went out a long time ago - ain't no torch to pass.

They love doing this shyt. Bring in things people want to see, just so they can beat it to death. Word to FTR.

That whole Elite squad about that Hogan-Heat-Heist bullshyt if we really finna talk about it :sas2:

Best of wishes to Jeff and his folk, but... him and his brother need to hang it up and just rest. They put in work for decades; it's ok to fall back and re-learn how to be functional human beings at this point. They have earned it at this point, and honestly if they don't, one of the two of them is going to get hurt or worse. After what happened to Matt this last year, I'm fukking horrified at what they'd have Jeff doing by summer.

Naw, he was burnt out. That was when he left the first time. He actually just talked about it with stone cold. That's why I'm kinda skeptical.

Yeah, I remember being like :dwillhuh: when he left because he was in the middle of a main event program, but then I found out he was banged up beyond belief. Had Restless Legs Syndrome among other things. :mjcry:

So, it's like a William Regal situation where WWE wanted to push him, but he just couldn't stay out of trouble. It's sad because he had everything it takes to be a top guy, the main event spot was his to lose, but he wasn't able to handle everything that comes with being in that position. Maybe that's a trigger for him.
I think it’s absolutely a possibility and makes more sense to me than some other theories. Eddy Guerrero’s WWE title run ended sooner than originally planned by his own request because the pressure of being the champ was getting to him, and especially with the history he had with addiction too it was better to take the pressure off his shoulders.
I think if you combine that with Jeff’s physical state after 3 decades of crazy bumps you get this unfortunate situation here where he’s still battling addictions in his mid 40’s. Anytime he was in a sustained period in the midcard or with Matt he never really had any issues.

Vince still had plans for him and was hot when he showed up on the inaugural hulk Hogan episode of TNA.
I don't think WWE would've touched Jeff with a ten foot pole after he got busted for drugs and was risking 14 Years in prison. Not with Linda trying to run for Senate at that time.

Naw they wanted him. We see nothing came from it.
While Vince McMahon was no-selling Jeff Hardy appearing on TNA’s three-hour iMPACT! broadcast last week backstage, it’s been said that he was “privately seething” over the former WWE Champion’s decision to jump ship to the competition. As noted earlier, WWE promptly removed Hardy from its opening video montage. Many others have been removed as well.

WWE officials were hoping his legal issues would be settled in time for a match with CM Punk at WrestleMania, but with those plans now out the window, they’ll likely go with Punk vs. Rey Mysterio in a Hair vs. Mask Match as we reported Monday here on the website.

Can't say I blame him for being pissed off. Spend all that time pushing Jeff only for him to pull a Kurt Angle and come back YEARS later all old, slower and broken down.
