Mma fans are constantly comparing ppv #s with boxing and just off the last couple of threads here 2 top mma fighters have said they can beat Wlad. Thats very disrespectful to the sport of boxing imo.

Notice how you didn't speak nothing on the racist factor. A white fighter can refer to a black fighter as an "uncle tom" in mma and dudes go :manny: And I won't even bring up the fans.

I get it you like it, cool. Its just not my cup of tea. I respect the fighters and I respect what mma has done to strengthen USA wrestling but thats about it.

Other than a pretty rare occasion here and there, MMA fans don't really compare PPV numbers. I'm a huge MMA fan and am part of multiple MMA forums and don't have a clue about PPV numbers in boxing. And neither do I see PPV numbers in boxing being mentioned on these forums.

Tyson Fury said he could beat Cain in an MMA fight, it goes both ways. I'm not going to sit here and say that's disrespectful to MMA because It's very clear that it's done for publicity and buzz.

Amongst fighters, racist remarks are very very rare. I know there are instances where racist remarks are made in boxing as well.

I'm not forcing you to like and watch MMA, I'm just pointing out the misconceptions you have surrounding the sport.

How am I off base? His base is boxing. He has stated that he likes to box and he thats hes bread and butter. He said he could beat the klits and he believed that. Well how can he possibly entertain the thought of fighting them when hes supposedly the best boxer in the HW division and hes been outstruck by Cain twice now? I know you are a huge JDS fan but I honestly can't see how you could spin this

JDS is the better boxer/striker. But because Cain is the better overall fighter with the threat of a takedown, his striking, as a result, becomes much more effective. That's why he was able to out-strike JDS. Similar to how GSP was able to soundly out-strike a fighter like Thiago Alves [who on paper, has the better striking].

I'm not saying that JDS could beat the Clinchkos in boxing because let's face it - he couldn't, but to the people saying that Cain outboxed him and that a true boxer would have worked angles better and whatever else - it's pretty clear that none of you take into account the threat of takedowns and how it completely affects the striking game in MMA. JDS could not just let his hands go the way he would have liked because he knew that Cain would just instantly switch levels for a double. That's also the reason why he had to keep his hands low (so he could sprawl). Put them in a boxing ring and JDS wins 10 times out of 10.

dude who are you trying to affirm your mma knowledge to me or yourself. I am fully aware of how the threat of a TD can affect a striker, hell sonnen/silva was a perfect example so thats nothing revolutionary u have stumbled upon. Whats the excuse for jds's flawed technique of throwing his whole body into his punches, his propensity for not covering his face or moving his head. You know the kind of basics you will need in boxing? :mjpls:

He wanted to KO Cain before he got tired and when he did get tired he was throwing strictly looping power shots to finish him because that was his only hope. When your hands are down, it's much easier to defend a takedown, Anderson does the same thing. Also, he gassed hard, so that was part of the reason he had his hands down. JDS has never really had good head movement. In the beginning, he displayed some head movement, but when he gassed/got beat up, it was almost non-existent.

He actually displayed head movement and he had to keep his hands lower than he would have liked due to the constant threat of being taken down/driven into the fence. Like I said, put them in a boxing match and JDS wins rather easily. Hell, put them in a ring and the outcome might be a lot different.
