People hate on Cole because he focuses on music in a rap game filled with hyped up rappers on 808s and hi hats, engaging in drama and fukkery.

Damn good interview and it touches on a lot of subject matter that most rappers have no interest in.

I just wish he was as good as HE wants/claims to be :snoop:

His career still blows my mind at times...

fukk the naysayers... I feel this post.... J Cole had some refreshing mixtapes at one point in time. but his music is overall solid.... not hottest selling rap record nice tho...

2014 Forest Hills Drive was that album, breh. Love Yourz, '03 Adolescence, Fire Squad, Tale of Two Citiez, etc. were all great.
What about the rest of the album? What about the struggle singing?

Born Sinner is better than FHD.

FHD came out at a perfect time and it was riding the wave of the turmoil in America and Police Brutality. shyt is overrated as fukk. And I like Cole.

:what:
this gotta be one of the worst analyses I've seen. Not even valid criticism. Breh did you just say hes a cross between Mobb Deep and Kendrick Lamar :childplease:

"Between sounding like Mobb Deep and Kendrick Lamar"...since you need more specificity, one moment he's talking about being "cool" and having guns and the next song hes trying to motivate women and spread peace, so you're right, I should've said he trying to channel Tupac...but failing.
