One thing I will never understand about Vol 2 is why did Jay Z not rap over that Premo beat on the Intro when it was the only Premo beat on the album? Sure I know he was trying to make Bleek next in line but looking back it was like a waste of a Premo beat.

Didn't he write that verse for Bleek?

Jay floated on this bytch...I was listening to this last week and wanted to make a thread...

Forgot how he just shytted on Mase...:wow:

Always gotta be the weakest nikka out the crew
I probably make more money off yo' album, than you
You see the respect I get every time I come through
Check your own videos, you'll always be number two
nikkas talking real greasy on them R&B records
But I'm platinum a million times nikka, check the credits
S. Carter, ghost writer, and for the right price
I can even make YO' shyt tighter
I roast nikkas like ya, smoke nikkas like ya
Take your little jewels and put the toast to nikkas like ya

some brehs missing the point arguing over who was gettin more money

despite all the subsequent hollywood shyt - this is two real emcee ass niccas who came up cos they was nice and they could spit

they was beefin over who the better emcee or who was killing it or who was writing and making hits - back to the essence of hip hop. they was stuntin somewhat cos they egotistical rappers after all but they arguing over who got skills, who writin and who nice - they didnt reduce it to just bank balances

What do you mean, didn't Bleek kill the intro?

It's not as if Premo beats were on low supply, if he wanted another one he could've got it.
It's like saying that any beat by dudes like Rza, Premo or Dre that that doesn't go to a goat candidate is a waste of a beat.

Dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars...that was vol 2 with them Casio beats! Lol

Jay was disgusted with not selling and mailed it in ignorant like he was selling crack. he has some slick lines...but that was frustrated Jay catering to the masses. VOL 3 Hova songs all 3 parts craps on vol 2. Vol 2 is good for some slick/ignorant lines....but the artistic integrity on vol 2 is his lowest ever.
