Wake.
He did in a roundabout way because who is saying that it was Nike? Jaylen Brown. Grant Hill is saying it wasn't Nike... it was a basketball decision.

But the thing is everyone knows it wasn't a basketball decision... bad look for Grant Hill carrying Nike's water.

The entire media/internet. That's who he's addressing. Jaylen just happens to be included in that group because of his tweets.

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
Jaylen sensitive AF
Breh has the right to be considering what happened. He’s hurt, and instead of Grant telling the truth (which he can’t risk doing so), Jaylen is reacting to the weak reasoning why he was left off and White was added. It doesn’t make sense to everyone, Grant included, but he can’t say anything. He’s doing the company man thing and accepting being the fall guy. Bottom line it’s a Nike decision and Grant needs to just not speak on it anymore because it leaves opportunity for Jaylen to speak on it, again.

This simply isnt true, at his best grant hill was a top 5-10 player in the league. Right now jaylen brown is not a top 10 player. He was 5xall NBA and brown only has one NBA selection, you can make the point and agree with brown, but to say he was better is very debatable
It’s not even debateable. Hill was top 5 player before the injuries. Dude had me wearing Filas:francis:

I don't understand wy Nike would try to influence Team USA to pick a player with no fans and who won't get a minute.
And similarly not influence to pick one of the hottest athletes in the US right now in Caitlin Clark?

It feel like they wanted a defensive specialist who is just happy to be considered and they don't want someone opinionated on the bench, e.g. giving JB 1 minute per game and Tatum 30 minutes per game might fukk up team dynamics.

At the end of the day it is a team sport, where dynamics and coaching are the main reasons shyt could get bad seeing how many good players there are. I mean the best team would probably be to just field Boston Celtics and that's a 100 % victory.

The theory is simply they influenced Team USA not to pick Jaylen due to a vendetta, not that they picked White.

And won’t get a minute??? Are you watching? :dahell:
1. Thank you for reminding me that the game started :bryan:
2. I was exaggerating with minutes to make a point.
3. So him dissing Nike once a few years ago is why someone on Nike, powerful and evil enough, blacklists an NBA finals MVP while wearing Nike's? Nike pays the US national team and US players not the other way around.

JB is having his Isiah-moment, and if it's cause of team dynamics, he's not doing himself any favours. But more than anything, showing that they were right.
