YOU ARE WHO YOU CHOOSE
My motto when it comes to dating has always been choose those that choose you. If that person is reciprocating the same energy you're giving or want just move around and you'll find someone who will. It's that materialistic lifestyle and clout that comes with it that's messing these chics and dudes heads up. Chasing that ideal IG lifestyle is just a neverending treadmill of drama. They just gotta choose when to get off and hope that there's someone waiting after running that ragged race.

Yawn...she knows this for certain how exactly?

She's a 90's-2000's baby...

but go off sis...

No disrespect, but women today in general have had it better than women at almost any point in history.
They are making money, in high positions, and have full rights (even tho the gubment tryna revoke some of them) but they are in as good a place now than they've ever been. This "battle of the sexes" that goes on in our community is getting dumber and dumber...

My wife and I were talking some time back and discussing how our black community discusses this mess non stop...all over social media.. (we discussed it bc in her natural hair group on FB she said they talk about everything EXCEPT natural hair) She said one of the main topics is "relationships/sex, colorism, and materialism"

All I hear is how women aren't protected, women in the past had it better, men don't care, women don't care...etc, etc, etc...ish get exhausting:yeshrug:

If she hung with an older crowd when she was young then her YouTube/internet personality would be totally different

I didn't even check her out past this youtube video.

Im talking about the 21 year old women who use to hang with the 30 year old men back in the 80s and 90s. The blue color scene was full of this as an example.

The basic gist I have gotten from this whole protect black women thing is that they don't want to be criticized for their poor decision making and they want someone there always ready to bail them out when they get in over their head

No, we don't. We ain't teach y'all that nonsense. You got it from school/TV/the Internet. You don't listen to us because you think you know everything by the time you hit puberty. The big difference between my gen and yours is we had a basic connection with our elders for communication and instruction.

That connection was lost on you due to the Crack Epidemic. Who in their right mind would listen to a generation of people that didn't know crack was bad?
JUST LIKE HERION, RIGHT? COCAINE? SORRY OLD c00nS MAKE EXCUSES FOR THE MESS YALL MADE

SO SCREENS CLOTHES THEM FEED THEM?

Yes. Indirectly. They want to wear the clothes the screen says is fashionable. They want to eat the foods the screen says is good for them or whatever the cool kids are munching on. The screen has spent more quality time with them than their parents in the case of most Millennials so yes, its a huge influence in their self concepts and way they comport themselves.

Peppa Pig is giving American kids British accents. To deny the influence of screens on the modern world and the people in it is akin to being willfully ignorant of the way things really are and where the balance of power currently sits in most folks, homes and lives.

Dudes in the 80s/90s pulled women by literally PULLING them by the arm lmaooooo.

My old head still does this when a girl walks by him the bar lol.

Literally just grabs thier hand as they walk and they'll turn around to talk to.
