A woman who was born in 1997 (I had to google this) is talking about relationship dynamics in the 1980s and 1990s.

...yeah

the feminism movement kicked off in the 60's but it was soooo much better

One of the problems with youth is that people have this habit of thinking that their personal experiences equal the experiences of everyone else.

If something bad or unfair happened to you, or a majority of the people in your little circle, then it can be extrapolated and must be true overall.
And that's not how it works.

This problem is compounded in recent years by social media 1) allowing people to spread their views to the world and 2) making them think their views have merit because of whatever feedback they get from other morons who agree with them.

One big stupid fukkin circle jerk.

I hate these conversations since they never acknowledge the core of the issue...the man that's disrespecting her is the man that she is choosing to entertain. I'm sure there are a line of brehs that will give her exactly what she is looking for and more but she doesn't see or acknowledge them. It's amazing how women dance around that accountability word so easily and other chics in the comment section are just hyping her up...I would usually add the Francis gif but it's not working at the moment

The past is always romanticized. I lived thru the 80s/90s and tbh people been cheating and been narcissistic, social media and tech just makes it easier. A lot of flagrant shyt was flying back then, hell my grandad had like 4-5 separate families across the US and that was back in 30s-40s. Players gonna play

who raised these " modern women"?

The old heads that knew better, but was selfish and neglected their maternal responsibilities. Even well to do women raise shytty kids. All these kids aren't from poor homes as you can clearly see. But lets be clear, if you know better you should do better. Blaming the previous generations for their wrongs, and not striving to correcting the current is just as bad. Thats like a hypocritical preacher.

And these women raise boys to be unaccountable men. The evidence is clear.

No, we don't. We ain't teach y'all that nonsense. You got it from school/TV/the Internet. You don't listen to us because you think you know everything by the time you hit puberty. The big difference between my gen and yours is we had a basic connection with our elders for communication and instruction.

That connection was lost on you due to the Crack Epidemic. Who in their right mind would listen to a generation of people that didn't know crack was bad?
