Stop it. Busta wasn’t even looked at on the East Coast as a top 5 sort of rapper, and Luda was more popular than him up here during his peak. People never take comical rappers seriously. Everyone knows Luda can rap.

I'd take Redman seriously...

He proved that u can still be gangsta and have some comedy.

Funny because he's one of the most likeable rappers in the industry.

Listening to Malpractice showed me that Red was a likeable goofball who liked to watch movies and cartoons on his spare time for inspiration.

Luda was a repackaged version of Redman for Southern audiences....

Def Jam did good in that department.

I'd rather Luda be a giddy cartoon character than someone who all of a sudden became a gangbanger after 2 albums.

If only Luda had a comedy partner, we could have gotten a whole movie of Luda being funny imo.

Took the words out of my head. If Luda was from NY/NJ, he'd be looked at as Redman.

LPretty much...

Red must have been one of Luda's favorite rappers because his music videos were just as goofy as his.

Luda parodied the Austin Powers movie for chrissakes

:dead:

Nothing tops the Stand Up video.

As a kid, I used to laugh at the scene where he had a sliver midget on his necklace.

He has some fire songs but pop hits.

I guess the chicken beer intro was hard and I always loved “blow it out your ass” because he was rapping and not cartoonish on that song.

I just never heard anything serious from him I guess.

I guess u slept on Release Therapy, huh
