idk but basically

his side said his 50% was worth 2.5 billion
bacardi said jay's 50% was worth like 460 million

jay side basically called their bluff said "ok then sell me your half for 1.5 billion, that's 3x what your'e saying mine is worth" and they said no.

i think they are the ones doing something shady.
saying Dusse is worth 5 billion is NUTS :laff:

basically suing to review complete financials to make sure he getting his proper cut...

if it turns out they shorting him... he gets his bread

if it turns out they weren't shorting him... he hits em with the "my bad"... and continues the partnership getting his bread

:wow:
yeah I don't think so about that second part :pachaha: :usure:

Because anyone can have 100% ownership of a unprofitable business but that doesn't count for much. Nor is it worth anything.

This is a straw man, brick and mortar businesses don't have to be unprofitable, Jay likes 'fast' money, he frequently buys and sells for a profit. His view on ownership in that interview (the 0% and no blacks in champagne quote) is only valid if you want to make as much money as possible quickly, not build a long-lasting brand or tradition. And that's fine, he's very successful, but 'small percentages now, larger later' isn't a policy absolutely everyone should follow, most of us will not achieve that level of wealth, and we should aim for stable longevity.

A number of rappers own restaurant franchises and other brick and mortar businesses but they don't like bragging about those even though they like bragging about everything. Which is interesting.

Now I'm being annoying but Curren$y, Ross, Dolph and 2 Chainz do :troll:

This only works because Jay-Z et al, like to equate fast money in deals with long term business when in reality they don't have the reputation or brand identity to truly sustain that long money ROI.

Jay-Z was doing fukking Tiffany commercials man :snoop:

These firms are usually smart enough to have clauses about suspending deals if they're sued etc.
No they dont.

Have you dealt with licensing or partnerships professionally???

imagine a contract that says if we don't hold up our end of the contract...
your only legal recourse (lawsuit) allows us to no longer need to hold up our end of the contract...

lol

what industry do you work in?

I don't have any experience drafting these deals.

I don't claim to or care to.

But based on the fukkery I've seen in all these years I'd be shocked if they didn't have a legit claim calling his bluff like this.

this is embarrassing

shrank his whole net worth in one blow

your interpretation of the company's response to a lawsuit is based on your lack of knowledge.

they would respond the same whether guilty or innocent of the claims.

I still can’t believe people think Jay, Bey, Rihanna, Kanye, Kylie, and Puff are billionaires. I remember back in the late 90’s, early 2000’s the number was 300 million for Puff, Jay, P, and Baby. I know I will likely never have the wealthy of Jay but they’re entertainers, their business acumen is overstated. What billionaire has their wife on stage gyrating while half naked? It doesn’t work like that. Even when we get the billionaire title, it’s still a bunch of gutter shyt associated with it.
