Dead Presidents 1 dropped a year after the original In My Lifetime which was recorded in 1994 but dropped in 1995. And Jay was using his RD flow with clever wordplay.

And songs like Broken English and Understand Me which were recorded in 1994, Jay is using heavy drug talk and not rapping fast at all.

i've believed that too just off the way anyone from Rocafella gets asked about that battle its a long pause then Jay. feels like they just say it because thats home team. nothing wrong with that though.

I have literally 0 doubt in my mind DMX won that battle. I actually 99% positive bet that DMX won that shyt. U can tell the difference in their battle dynamic from the cypher on Backstage. X just had WAY more presence.
