this is basura.....Jay has had a very strange career. 91-95 he was legit one of the worst spitters of the era....then all of a sudden Dead Presidents drops and hes one of the illest in the game....EASY. shyt was like a magic trick

You going overboard. While Jay definitely switched up and improved, he was still dope and spitting some real slick shyt in that time period.

If you follow the timeline of Jay by 1994-1995 he stopped the fast flow and was very deliberate with his flow (tho still had hints of the fast shyt at times) and was very clever. Dead Presidents 1 dropped a year after the original In My Lifetime which was recorded in 1994 but dropped in 1995. And Jay was using his RD flow with clever wordplay.

And songs like Broken English and Understand Me which were recorded in 1994, Jay is using heavy drug talk and not rapping fast at all.

:whoo:That Broken English track

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
has there ever been anyone thats believed in someones talent or batted for them in the way Clark Kent did for Jay ?

i've believed that too just off the way anyone from Rocafella gets asked about that battle its a long pause then Jay. feels like they just say it because thats home team. nothing wrong with that though.
I have literally 0 doubt in my mind DMX won that battle. I actually 99% positive bet that DMX won that shyt. U can tell the difference in their battle dynamic from the cypher on Backstage. X just had WAY more presence.
