We must not be talking about the same comments. I think he was on that LeBron show. He was talking about the tour and described X's show. How he had chicks crying then dudes crying. Then the tour people were like ok Jay you go next and he was like. Was the utmost show of respect because he was essentially saying how can I go on after what dude just did?
Jay has always shown DMX love, like A.I. shows Kobe love. They were peers, competitors, same era, etc. The only difference is in Jay's case, he's the "Kobe" (more famous, influential, successful) and still alive while the one that was more loved in the hood like A.I. was ("DMX") passed away.
