If art is subjective, how do you "get it right" - and conversely, how do you know for sure they got it wrong? Also do we reward art or do we reward achievement? Traditionally the Grammys have rewarded achievement: the best selling albums constantly win these things. Or an iconic, veteran artist will auto-win based on past wins and achievements. Which this in mind, I don't see how anyone can be upset about this or take it too seriously. Especially someone like Jay who has run a label, currently runs a management company and understands the politics at play.
