This N!gga just dropped a Cohesive, Grown Man, Black Power album. He didn't follow no trends or gimmicks. Just gave you himself. Dude went in on White Supremacy damn near on every song. Loved how soulful it was. So many subliminals. I was like, "Jay getting his NaS on with a socially conscious album, even got a Damian Marley feature." LOL. Gotta play it straight through again. Anyways, dope from first listen just because he dropped nothing but knowledge through the entire project. No ID if he did do all the production definitely gave the project a very again cohesive feel. Loved that it was no rap features basically just all Jay. This is his most personal and vulnerable album.
Conscious rap is now a trend doe... Wtf u om about.

Overall I think Jay-Z delivered....

It's a solid album.....he's just not nearly as good of a rapper as he used to be which means I probably won't come back to this as much as I would say, Volume 1.

Although his flow isn't great, there's gems all over this and it's worthy addition to his discography that shows growth as an artist and as a man.
