Most VC funds aren’t accessible to the non-wealthy; and they don’t try to sell you on their viability. They’re also far more clear about where the investments are going.If it's a sham then that's a shame but still

But once it's black it's..."how he get started?...with what money? ...for how long? Who he with? How come he need money? Where's the money going? I need to see a guaranteed profit plan....what year should profit be expected? All businesses face this kind of scrutiny from investors breh. The difference is most businesses know the kinds of questions that come and prepare for them. Public corporations literally have quarterly calls with shareholders where they answer questions and tell them what the plans for the business are going forward. They also have to disclose all the cash flow for the business. This is not unfair scrutiny because he is black.... this is standard practice in the business world. The fact that you think he's a victim shows you don't know what the hell you're talking about

I WISH dude was legit, so that all his investors could get their returns, and black people could be more enthusiastic about investing

I don't feel sorry for folks who get taken advantage of by dudes like this anymore. Some people are just born to be food for the wolves. If they didn't give their money to jay they would have given it to Tariq, Yvette, the local pastor, a random GoFundMe, a scammy car dealership etc.
Guys like jay target the uneducated and use emotional arguments instead of factual arguments to hustle folks from their money. That's why he invoked the Tulsa name to begin with. This was always a bad "investment" when you just looked at the numbers without any emotion involved. And it was set so Jay and his partners get the bag whether it succeeds or not. He took his money off the top.

Fact is much as it hard to admit, there are a lot of black people who scam their community. Being aware of it and becoming cautious doesn’t make you a c00n. There’s nothing about Jay Morrison so far which makes me think he’s legit.
