Can you shed some more insight on this please? Genuine question. I am interested in having a discussion that goes a bit deeper than simply stating people are “haters” because they don’t have confidence in this fund.

Umar Johnson turned out to be a fraud (was excited when I first heard about his school)
Tariq Nasheed has a shady past
Now this guy's real estate fund is dead

Why can't a prominent black guy who's 'for the people' succeed? Why is there always dirt in whatever operation they're doing? It's like someone from our community builds and tower and we're all cheering for that person to succeed. But then the tower comes crumbling down due to an earthquake, tornado, weak foundation, cement not dry, bricks arranged improperly, bulldozed by a trojan horse double agent, etc.

I think we need to stop looking for 'leaders', and just try to do things ourselves. Like why can't we come together and come up with something of our own? We're always waiting for some messiah-like figure to tell us what to do.

They do all the time. The issue is that we tend to write off people who are about results instead of the sideshow.... with predictable results.

And what compounds the issue is that the people who try to warn against putting blind faith in hype men end up getting called haters.

It’s like being captain save a hoe to try to give some sound advice.

.

In just 2 or 3 sentences, explain how Umar deceived people and pocketed their money - because that's what Jay Morrison did.

So please, without emotion or arguing - explain that about Umar please 2 or 3 sentences. ...I've got time. :coffee:
