2nd time through. Very very good album. Congrats to Jay Elect for finally focusing on something and delivering. You can tell though, that Hov made this dude focus for 40 days and 40 nights. I appreciate him for doing it. Hip Hop needed this album, and right now. They both put together some great verses. Production was well-done.
Ghost of Soulja Slim (Hov puts on a master class to set the course of the album; Jay Elect followed up with great verse)
The Blinding.... (Swizz on his shyt, AraabMusic & Hit Boy killed that second beat....that beat switch is nuts)
Universal Soldier (Bananas!!!!)
Shiny Suit Theory (old classic, but still crazy to hear Hov spitting like G Rap)
Flux Capacitor ("Get da gat...." - the expected Shawn Carter clear-ish-up, FTW verse, period)
Fruits of the Spirit (so damn smooth and soulful; great production by No ID; Jay Elect murdered this)
A.P.I.D.T.A - classic Jay Elect verses; great outro
In this setting, in this mindstate of making music, The Scientist with Jay Elect, Nas & Hov would have murdered the next decade. We missed out on one there.
I know how I'm spending part of this pandemic......
