Jay Electronica has been doing his best Nas impression since people have known of his existence. Why would Nas release a song written by Jay Electronica? What did he stand to gain at that point in his career? "Queens Get The Money" is dope, but it did absolutely nothing for Nas's career. I remember Nas spitting lines from that song on an MTV interview months before the song came out.
I think a much more simple explanation that I haven’t read on here yet is that he was simply inspired by Jay electronica on that song and possibly wanted to use a little bit of stylistic influence.

If Jay produced queens get the money then it’s not out of the question that Nas wanted to drop a few bars in his style. This type of thing is very common

Evidence made a song with Raekwon called Red Carpet and admitted to using a sort of a Jay Elec flow.

So I don’t see why it has to be this black-and-white situation where either Nas wrote the song or Jay wrote the song

Imagine waiting 10 years for Jay Electronica to drop a album only for it to be 10 tracks. One of them that is 10 years old. That nikka is trash and yall trash for being a fan of his lol.
I don’t disagree with you that the dude is a clown but nothing on here is old. The shiny suit theory song is a bad translation and it actually says shiny suit theory sequel. So there’s definitely no old songs on this

:dwillhuh: this sounds incredible. full track ain't leak?

It was never finished.

Funny story

Just Blaze actually came on Sohh to post when Saigon’s album was dropping and dropped a bunch of jewels. He said the Scientist was supposed to be the official Nas/Hov collab for Hip Hop Is Dead (original title was NY Stomp) so Apparently Nas wanted Jay to record his verse first but Jay and Just were like “This is your album you set it off”. So Nas came to the studio with a bunch of Rhyme Books and started piecing his verse together, just as everything started to come together he got a phone call (Just thought it was Kelis) and said he’d be back.

Nas never returned to the studio
