Breh y’all tripping. Dude dropped one album and had Jay-Z on almost every track. That’s a damn shame after we waited over a decade for HIS album. No way around that shyt and y’all accepting that as a serious debut just cause he gave us “something” is a shame too. He has no excuse and had time to really give us something special and tell his story his way.

The other album had to be leaked and was bad quality. In fact both of them were bad quality on the mix. Lyrically he did his thing but for a decade long wait he fell short. Just cause he gave us one half ass album and another album leaked we supposed to just be satisfied with that? fukk nah! If you ask me he needs to get back in the studio and create something else cause he failed. Blew all that hype and everything. He is a serious lyricist but he doesn’t get points for potential.

It's a classic case of glass half full or half empty. You're being way too negative in my opinion. He doesn't owe you shyt

I'd rather be happy we got what we did. I still bump both and think they're great. Hell, I even paid up in the Groupbuy for Act2. I thought we would never get it, but did against all odds, even if its without Jay's consent and it's a rough version. As it sits, it's a classic though.

The album with Jay is top 3 of last year. Yes I'd rather have a Jay Electronica solo, but I'd rather have this than nothing at all. We got incredible Jay tracks like A.P.I.D.T.A., Universal Soldier, Neverending Story and Ghost of Soulja Slim.

Be happy with what you got breh, or keep it moving. Who would have thought 2 years ago we'd have 2 albums by now. And one of those would be Act 2? The answer is no one, atleast if you've been following him for a while.

Breh he is a rapper. What you mean he don’t owe me nothing. I never said I was owed an album but as a rapper I expect him to rap or else he is hurting his own legacy. Just like a painter I expect them to paint and a business man I expect them to do business. For him to sit on that album for years then give us a collab album with Jay was somewhat lazy and a shame. He don’t owe me nothing but that doesn’t mean he isn’t lazy and that he actually failed here. Also while both of those projects are very good I would doubt that they are classics to most people because he didn’t strike while the iron was hot.

Don’t get me wrong, it would be one thing if we waited this long and he actually delivered but he didn’t. The leak was too harsh to listen too because of how rough and unfinished sounding it was so it don’t count and the album with Jay was really good but not good enough. For a 10 year wait I expect flawlessness, every brush stroke has to be laid perfectly on the canvas and that’s not what we got.

I stand by my previous comment. I rather see the glass half full. We got 2 great albums last year. That's 2 more than anyone on this planet expected.

I kind of shytted on Act 2 when it dropped because it was so rough and unfinished. But now I kind of miss it. There was greatness on that album even in its unfinished form:mjcry:

I respectfully agree to disagree. I don’t look at the leak as a real effort cause he didn’t finish it and get it mixed well. The album with Jay was cool but not a real debut and he kinda cheated in a way. With that said I’m sure you agree he is a great emcee and you’d be open to him making more new music.

Still tripping off the fact that Jay Elec hid behind Jigga to release his debut album.

On one end…kinda scary of him.

On the other end…speaks to a certain level of respect/clout he commands as an emcee to make one of the GOATs play Fullback to his Runningback for a whole project.
