Call it what you want. We've been waiting for this album forever and Jay-Z won't even allow the nikka to have the spotlight to himself smh. The difference in the quality of theirs bars is gonna be glaring, probably not a wise move.

TBF. Jay has washed him on every song they’ve been on together. However, I agree with you sentiment. I don’t want a joint project.

somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
He's signed to the Roc :what:
Jay gotta history.
Elec has arguably the most highly anticipated debut of any emcee ever.
It's been eons.
And now we gotta listen to Jay-Z for half of it :unimpressed:
He signed him to control the trajectory of his career, straight up.
Man has been a threat to the goat seat without ever having released a studio album.
Control the content and output.
Camel-Z is an ego-maniac and shrewd businessman. Facts.
Folks been waiting for their modern day Koran in audio form and now Sean Knowles is sharing the spotlight.
C'mon, breh.

Bro I swear yall sit at home and create these dumb ass narratives. Jay has been wanting Elec to put out the album for a long time

Jay being on this album benefits Elec more anyway. You think these kids know who Jay Elec is ?

That's my opinion :yeshrug:
I and many others haven't looked forward to a Jay Elec album just to have to listen to Jay-Z for half of it.
How bad has Camel wanted Elec to drop if he'd been sittin on what he called a "classic" for 10 cottamn years only to never release it and do a joint album instead ?

Nah - label got fed up so they took a bunch of Jay Z left over tracks and put a bunch of Jay Elec verses on there. This is basically a Jay-Z lost tapes with Jay Elec acapella's here and there.

Yall will komplain bout anythin n everythin :picard:

Finally a jay elect project wit a release date:ehh:

And jay on half th3 songs:ohhh:....n yall r upset :hhh::francis::mjlol::usure::what::heh:

What is so fukking hard to understand that people had a certain expectation from a Jay Electronica album that it would be his grandiose statement, an album from the mind that produced The Pledge, Exhibit C and Dimethyltryptamine.

There's a certain mystic that a lot of his fans have built around him. And that mystic kinda goes out the window when Jay-Z is all over the album either doing his corny moghul talk shyt that completely contradicts the vibe of Jay E's music or get's on his forced psuedo-woke shyt that everyone knows is completely phony.

Will the album be good? Sure...the two of them spitting on some dope beats. Of course we'll listen and probably enjoy it. But it's not the record fans had in mind when they first got excited for his music. People hyped Jay Electronica because he came across as more than just another rapper. But having a 50 year old Jay-Z on half the songs suggests that's not the case.

Imagine Nas having G Rap on half of Illmatic? That shyt would no doubt be dope but it wouldn't have the legacy that the real Illmatic has.

I actually can appreciate this perspective and this shyt resonates with me. I guess the way I look it is, something or nothing? I’ll gladly take something over what was looking like absolutely nothing.

nikkas are never happy. Just constant hate...every damn day

I noticed that with us

Nothing makes people content or happy

We walk around with our fist balled up at all times over anything

:francis:

A album is coming out with a artist you may or may not like

Listen to it or not

Not one track have come out dint even know the direction of the album or the producers

And its anger :scust:
