Man jigga does not come off as believable rapping the way he has on this or 4:44, as a listener I don't buy it, doesnt sound authentic at all coming from him. Forced is the word here.

Elect is a Fisher Price version of Killah Priest real talk, nothing amazing about duke at all, cats listening to this shyt like their plugged into the matrix when its nothing new at all. Elect should be criticized for dropping this after the long wait. Breh is lazy period. Last concert I went to of his he milked 3-5 songs from catalog for 2hrs talking for most of the time. If I'm not mistaking it was supposed to be a combined dilla tribute as well/piggy backing of another legend.

If you don't think the production on here is bland then there is no use of even going back and forth because we will not see eye to eye.
Jigga been letting off the same sentiment since the 80s, he just chose to focus on making music he through the people wanted to hear

I'm tired of y'all giving passes to lyrically heavy based rappers for having poor tp mediocre production like it's impossible for both to be on point. Either that or let sample based production slide cuz it's a song you recognize and like getting chopped.

The opposite can be said for these trash rappers whose LPs are carried entirely by dope beats.

Jay Electronica is the greatest lyricist ever!
Jay-Z embarrassed Jay Electronica on every song!
This album is unbelievable!
This album is trash!
I love the production
The production is the weakest part

Etc...

I only read 2 pages of yall feedback and seen all of this, :russ:. Gonna wait til next week to check this out, once all the ridiculous overhyping, positive or negative, subsides so my judgment isnt influenced by outside gas. It was the same with 4:44, all the hype because he was rapping "empowerment", lol, I fell into it too. One week later I thought that album was okay, nowhere near what the gas had me thinking initially.
