Again, you're casting based on looks. Deadpool is wearing a mask or horribly disfigured for 99% of his time on screen. You're telling me a Nightcrawler Gyllenhaal can't pull off Deadpool, sans dikk jokes every other second? Any aged Jim Carrey is a better choice than Reynolds. Jim Carrey is better at the one thing Ryan is decent at, and vastly better at a ton more. Robin Williams would have been better, with good stunt doubles. You're telling me Jamie Foxx couldn't capture the essence of Wilson if given an opportunity? Plenty of people could be Deadpool. There's only been one, so we automatically attribute the character to him, but it's moreso because he's the perfect character for Ryan to play, not because nobody else could do it as good or better.

Reynolds made this work by a baptism of fire. There is no one else who could have or be deadpool. As Reynolds really created this from his passion project to be what it is. Nobody else did it and I am NOt about to speculate.
