European History is widely taught in schools, there are multiple representations of it in media. It is easily accessible.
West African history is not and that is partly due to how West Africans transferred knowledge (they didn't write a lot of things down) and the fact that Western civilization finds no value in Ancient West Africa so it is not taught whatsoever or depicted in media.
Most Black people don't know shyt about Ancient West Africa...what makes anyone think a bunch of insulated Hollywood Black writers would know?
I am a writer and most of these nikkas don't know shyt about African American historical figures beyond Malcolm X and MLK...
