He was great for the majority of his time in Flushing.
Outside of 05; '09(still productive, despite a season cut short to injury) -'10, he did everything he was supposed to do(get on base, slug, drive in runs, hit homers).

Santana pitched well in 3 of the 5 years he was here, you take that every-time w/ a large contract, especially since he was just about 30 when we acquired him.

Beltran does not deserve to be mentioned with those guys, Beltran was worth every dollar.

He had a .869 OPS and a 129 OPS+

Just to give you an idea Justin Upton has a .832 OPS and a 117 OPS +

Beltran mised half of the 09 and '10 seasons with injuries and had career lows in damn near every category his 1st season wit the the mets

7 years 119 million and you got 3 good seasons out of him that's not worth every dollar
