I love that Dave was the one that started the New Japan bandwagon in 2010-11 and basically encapsulates what happened to a big number of the fans that were able to hop on in the last decade. At least he's honest about it, that wouldn't have happened if AEW didn't exist though


BTW, fukking DDT is running a 25h anniversary show at Sumo Hall and the main event is once again Takeshyta vs Endo. For fukk sake man are they gonna run that match forever until they finally pull something that's legit great?

I feel bad and happy for Shingo at the same time. He put some good work in one of the worst eras of the company. But at least he got to be the main champion, something I wouldn't expect to ever happen.

People (mostly Americans) acting like it's no hype for WK16 are only saying that because they finally got their alternative to WWE now in AEW. But it's not like the Japanese people are losing interest. The only reason for the empty seats is because of attendance restrictions because of a global pandemic that is highly contagious.

I know I was hyped for Takagi & Okada to see who Ospreay will hopefully take the title from tomorrow . But due to travel restrictions as well the cards are great but tomorrow is about to be litty, lit, lit with The Commonwealth Kingpin and The Rainmaker doing battle in the Tokyo Dome with the World Heavyweight Title on the line.

I’m watching the Shibata vs Ren match……

Even though I don’t have the history of him like most….. even I can feel the weight and specialness of his return.

The picture on the right had to be taken before the show started because they are claiming 12k in attendance for Day 1. Not clue how many of those were paid but it's a damn good number regardless.

Edit: Ah, now I see the point of the tweet. It's the set up, not how many people shows up. Still, 12k is good all things considered.
