I'm confused at what the gaijin are mad about. Unless NJ suddenly dropped COVID protocols all together, it would seem that that many people on the roster getting it at the same time would indicate they probably got it at a restaurant after a show or something.

Foreigners been complaining to Dave about New Japan for basically the last 5 years, there's always something to bytch about.

Why weren't Fujinami/Mutoh/Choshu/Hashimoto involved with Starrcade 95? WCW put 3 true main eventers on their side, including their champion, and both the champion and two other guys would have title matches the same night. Mutoh is really the weird missing guy to me, as WCW always tried to pop him into a show when they could, including early in 1995. It's also weird to me the way they position the NJ workers that Tenzan and Sasaki are a bigger deal than Liger and Chono.

Depends on who is doing the bytching. The Bucks somehow wanted to be more prominent and wanted more money, I think Kenny wanted more money. Ki probably wanted to have every belt in the promotion. Others complained about money and/or more perks.

I have no clue what Ospray would want that he wasn't getting but my point is that there's always something to complain about when you have talent that feels entitled to whatever because they are "the top foreigners" of the company.

It seems they become that entitled because Gedo treats them so well with his booking.

Only thing I can think of is getting clearance to defend the IWGP title outside of Japan. If they weren't trying to force the Olympics, it'd be easy to see a situation where Japan is shutting foreigners out again. And if you're him, the easy solution is just defending it literally anywhere but Japan right now. Gedo probably ain't playing that shyt. :yeshrug:
