Bro I've tried to sign up for PWO 3 different times, with my emails awaiting validation for YEARS.

Also at this point I don't know who I'd vote for. I used to think it had to be Jumbo but over the years of digging through the AJPW archive, he's actually come to lower in my esteem a little because instead of just being exposed to the classics, I've been seeing 50% of any given year he was phoning it in.

I hate to say it but Flair has raised in my esteem in the past 2 years :mjlol:

:dead: I think the sign up process should be open again with this new project because they will want people participating. I think the idea is not only have it in PWO though.

And yeah, Jumbo's "laziness" has always been his main critique. That and him being the n°1 for the 06' poll were the main reasons he was down in the 2016 poll.

Man, after legit watching more Flair matches than any other wrestler ever I stopped searching for new stuff from him like 6 years ago and have little motivation to revisit him. He's indeed a workhorse, regardless of how anyone feels about his style, dude was insane in how he approached every match he had.

I think what has bumped Flair up for me is I've seen a lot more pre-formation of the Horsemen era where he hadn't completely settled into the formula and was working not really as a tweener exactly but he would dial up heel or face tendencies depending on the opponent and which area he was working and also his promos weren't just swagged out coked out shouting. Not that I'm going to put them on a best of list, but a good chunk of AJPW midcarders in the 80s have really become guys I know I'm going to enjoy watching even if they're just in a 5 minute match. Like 8 out of 10 times I'm going to enjoy an Ishikawa/Hara/Yatsu match more than a Choshu match.

I really couldn't tell if Kikuchi's gimmick was Jumbo turned his brain to mush and now he's this addled weirdo or if that was just the reality any time I've seen him in the ring in the past 5-6 years.
