I think they'll play ball more with AEW, IMHO
I wouldn't put much of ROH over NJPW, as is, unless it's Gresham over ZSJ
TNA is a more apt comparison. The most important difference is that the Japanese audience actually gives a fukk about AEW's biggest stars, which should mean we'll not only get cool matchups on paper, but they will have crowds actually engaged with them.
People like Angle, AJ (before he left TNA) and Dudleys showing up in New Japan and getting a "
" reaction -by their standards- showed that TNA was basically a dead promotion. Every top star in AEW should get most of the puro fans
in some shape or form, and that's I'm excited for the most.
In terms of booking, I don't see any big issues that hasn't happened before. As with every interpromotional relationship, 1 promotion will end up looking stronger, some new stars
should be created and some wrestlers will get fukked over (or pissed off) by booking. Historically, New Japan is the promotion that reaps the most benefits, we'll see if they can King of Sports their way into this relationship too
