Kicked homeboy square in the head :picard:

I swear like every other year i do a shinata match run. Bout to peep his match against matt riddle later :ohlawd:

I like his matches over a bunch of the 5+ star shyt everyone goes crazy for nowadays :manny:

I feel like some 5 stars just dont have replay value even though they were good. For example, I can watch Andrade vs Gargano at Takeover Philly anytime, but I dont care to watch Cole/Cargano at Takeover New York. Probably has a lot to do with the physicality as well in 5 star matches. Especially anything that goes over 30 minutes, imo there has to be a lot of hard-hitting action to really sell the fact these guys are at their limit.

It's why I hold Omega/Okada's G1 match in much higher regard because they dont waste the first 30 feeling each other and suddenly start getting exhausted at the 40 mark. They're pretty much start the finishing sequence at the 10 minute mark and it's just beautiful wrestling.

Eh, Kitamura was going to be heavily pushed but he got concussed (or something big happened) and had to retire :francis:
Yeah im not certain what the Kitamura deal was but they were prepared for BIG things with him. I think he would have joined LIJ eventually ( especially since Chaos exists about as much as GBH aat this point) Vince would have saw him, and tried to sign him when he took Kushida. Thats still a weird as fukk signing to me btw.

Yeah thats my fav out the trilogy as well because of the run time. Matches way too long imo give me a Shibata/Ishii type joint from the g1 a while back :whew: 12 minutes of two dudes going full retard with the strikes and suplexes/throws
The heart of a Lion :wow:

Yeah, he has worked for DDT. He's from BASARA which is the "shoot style" little brother of DDT (I think they don't depend on DDT anymore though) so sometimes he works some shows there too.

Can't say I have seen him in DDT but his work un BASARA and Big Japan is really fukking cool. If you search his name in this thread I've linked to a lot of his matches the last 2 years :salute:

NOAH is now a subsidiary of CyberAgent, the same company which owns DDT. Sanshiro Takagi now is president of both companies. Marufuji is vicepresident.

And they will finally have a streaming service under DDT Universe.

Takagi The Fukkery God getting more juice :gladbron:

Due to the DDT partnership, does this mean that AEW might somehow fall backwards into a partnership with NOAH, who also have partnerships with MLW and Impact? Wrestling world is getting smaller by the day, :mindblown:

It could’ve went the other way. Rumors were that NOAH and STARDOM were close to being bought out by WWE to form NXT Japan.

In fact the only reason Stardom didn’t sellout is because the founder asked WWE what they were planning to do and they didn’t have any plans to tell him.

NXT Japan is still planned but they gonna have to play fourth or fifth fiddle depending on what DG and AJPW do.

I also got the idea that they took a look at what happened to the indies in the UK after all the talent got taken off the market, and put 2 and 2 together.

I don't even know if they would have been profitable to run for WWE either. They would have probably stripped them both for parts and mothballed them. Glad that local companies stepped in, in both instances and kept the product in Japanese hands.

Can't see them buying Dragon Gate - the only upside for that would be more cannon fodder for 205 Live.
