12 years as head booker is more than enough. He spearheaded the company's resurgence and from 07' to 12' he did an outstanding job establishing a young roster and developing the best heavyweight division in Japan at the time (most people will argue, and have a strong argument, they still have it).
Once he struck gold with Okada is what basically over though. He found he golden cow and used the same formula until today, with fukking awesome results. I don't blame him for being so fukking lazy for so fukking long, but I didn't like it either
I hope his replacement comes in with new ideas. It would be awesome to see New Japan having fresh angles and matchups, specially with their new additions to the roster.
