SANADA is Gedo's new Hirooki Goto. He's never going to win the big one as long as he is booking. Were on the way to Gedo's continual wet dream of an Okada redemption story

I could see Gedo giving SANADA a G1 day one upset over Okada and nothing more :francis:

SANADA should be IC level now. Too talented.

The Gawd Milano AT is such an LIJ stan.... lol at Makabe calling him a jerk. Please turn on the subtitles.

Comedy. :mjlol:

Speaking of dropkicks, Okada's hangtime on that top rope dropkick was insane. :krs:

Dude is just ridiculously gifted from a technical point of view. His lucha is also far better than it has any right to be given that he only really breaks it out like once a year.

-Where the fukk was Mikey Nicholls when all the fukkery was taking place during Juice's title defense? He wanna come out after the fact and do nothing:dead:

-Was hoping for a SANADA upset even though I knew it wasn't gonna happen. Hope he gets at least the IC belt at some point. On another note, it was an extremely dope visual for his semi-final post match promo. Thought he was gonna yell out "FOREVER!:damn:"

-Love how Ishii just bosses up against any and everyone. Another guy who I wish could get a HW title reign but it'll never happen. Speaking of which....

-Goto. Poor poor Goto. Wish he would just leave and go freelance. Maybe snuff Gedo on the way out

SANADA still has a shot to get the main belt...he just needs Okada and Ibushi to get injured at the same time in the next 2 years. I'm not kidding by the way :francis:
Yeah but that wont happen. Plus at least Goto won a G1 and I think three New Japan Cups. Sanada got a title reign with EVIL. I want to believe SANADA will get his but Gedo makes it so hard. I'm not saying dude has to close out the dome but is a post G1 reign really that difficult to do while the guy is still young? :damn:

I was trying to watch Suzuki/Sanada but my internet had been really shytty lately and kept defaulting to like 240p so I gave up on it. Seemed pretty standard current dull MiSu match where he destroys a dude for 30 minutes with leg locks and shyt and then his opponent shrugs it off and wins. Did see that KO punch to the young boy :picard:

I mean, we all know Gedo likes to give people (not named Okada or a gaijin) pushes 2-3 years after the perfect moment to do it but the thing with SANADA is that by the time he would be "on Gedo schedule" to get a IWGP title push, this new star studded crop of Umino, Narita and Yoshida will start getting their big push too. And we also know how Gedo hates to do anything but "1 guy/Ace at the time" booking so unless he gets "lucky" with a bunch of people getting injured, he will end up as Goto.

You are right about Hirooki winning a bunch of stuff that SANADA hasn't been close of winning yet, but those were different times. Mutoh's return and surprisingly successful title run fukked Goto's momentum, he was on pace for getting a Makabe-like run at least (remember that brief time when New Japan promoted Naka/Tana/Makabe/Goto as the Four Musketeers? :pachaha:), but the timing was never right and Gedo never saw him as someone worth scratching every plan to give him a run. SANADA might end up with the same timing problem unless something happens that forces Gedo's hand to open up the main event scene, injuries would be his best "bet".

Sanada's dragon sleeper sucks. He doesn't use it as a choke or sleeper, he instead pretty much squeezes the top of the head and kind of holds you at an angle that might give you a sore neck the next day if he held it for a half hour. I need him to tighten that shyt up.

Yeah let's get a charisma vacuum like SANADA to main event the company's biggest ever international show. :comeon:

SANADA gets good to great reactions. They would only get better with a proper push.

I like the guy but to want him in the main event at MSG over Okada is crazy.

I never feel all that emotionally invested in his matches. He's technically great but dude is just has no personality in the ring. Like what is his persona? What is he about? He's just a super athletic dude who can work and has goofy hair.

Yeah Sanada is TOO stoic for my tastes as well. He never has those moments where he gets real, his way of ramping up in a match is literally just doing things faster.

The All Japan Sanada from 8 years ago would've never been as over as he is today. I think he's good enough to get a legit push.

The charisma vacuum is the fukking IWGP champ and IS main eventing their biggest ever international show for fukk sakes :heh:

I don't think Jay White is a charisma vacuum. I think he's just running the wrong gimmick for the wrong audience. Them long ass promos are falling flat because he's cutting them in front of an audience that can't understand what he's saying, and on opponents that don't either and can't respond. They just need to tell him to cut shyt short, and work for physical fukkery (:dame:) into his act.

Everyone talks about Jay White’s “gimmick” not fitting him? What would you have him do? I honestly can’t see him doing anything other than being a bland Napoleon Dynamite. :ld:
