32 entrants :picard:

Okada has a clear and easy path to the Finals, he really is getting the MSG title win isn't he? :laff:

Umino about to start getting real matches this year :obama: hopefully the Tanahashi match is a showcase and not a squash.

Been slowly making my way through the Baba show. So many bum knees and man t*ts on this show :francis:

But then there's someone like fukking Hakushi who from the neck down hasn't aged in 20 years and still moves like it's 1998 :dwillhuh:

Shota getting that Ace rub :wow: Definitely going to be a banger with Tana selling the young Lion offense.

Low Key I want to see Archer vs Henare

Tacos vs Nakanishi :mjlol:

I wonder they going to give Goto a nice tournament run since he's put in the back burner.

Daisuke Sekimoto vs Yuji Hino - Zero1 World Heavyweight Title, Z1 2/2/19

HOLY shyt :whoo: :damn: I did not expect these two to have this type of match. They actually went for a minimalistic approach to this and it worked like a fukking charm. It's kind of a hoss version of what Sekimoto and Hideki Suzuki have been doing in the last 2 years in their matches. Every move and strike matters, there's struggle for control on almost every exchange and both pay the price of landing or receiving a hit. 5 years ago these two would've had a slow start that just fills time until they go full speed ahead and just clash against each other until the end. 2019 version of them? They actually build to every sequence. They get to the strike battle - the lariat exchanges were SICK, dear lord :picard: - and they get to throw a lot of bombs, but how they get there and how they make every single thing they do matter, shows how two wrestlers that were already awesome, can learn new ways to have a great match. And even the bombs were done in a pace and in a way that showed the wear and tear of the match, fukking loved it (Hino's deadlift german was something else).

At one point Daisuke has Hino in a Boston Crab and Yuji starts powering up´to get to the ropes, but it's not your typical spot were the wrestler just gets there because has has to, Hino fukking DRAGS Sekimoto - you can see him leaning forwards, trying to stop Yuji - until he gets the rope break. If you just want to watch a bomb fest, this will probably underwhelm you - because it takes 22-25 minutes or so to get there - but if you have patience, this will be rewarding. I was actually fine with the ending, which just blew my mind.

My man Daisuke with another MOTYC :ohlawd: @TheGodling @Scottie Drippin @SubZeroDegrees @3Rivers @PlayerNinety_Nine @TrueEpic08 @Honga Ciganesta @Beautiful Bobby Eatin @The Rainmaker @Legal @stro

Watched this last night and it having a lot of Hideki DNA in it was my exact thoughts. This, Violent Giants v Strong BJ, and Strong Hearts v Young Future and the Futurettes are my top 3 this year so far.

The rest of Japan is on fire whereas NJ is low key a dumpster fire :mjlol:
