WWE FINALLY acquired the WWC library. Carlos Colón finally surrendered.

So I guess they dont have a reason to keep Primo and Epico employed.

Had they been trying? That doesn't seem like something they'd be interested in at all unless they got it for pennies.

That was what people in forums from Puerto Rico were saying since Carlito was hired.

Since they have a lot of footage from WWF stars I can see how it holds at least some value.

Would have been another over act who Vince had no idea what to do with once he got there. :manny:
He's already an over act who the booker has no idea what to do with, might as well stay at home and not have to learn another language.

Then again, having a 2 year run in WWE - no matter how he's treated by booking - would give him all the leverage in the world once he came back. And given how WWE works nowadays, he would still get a 3-5 month run were he would be promoted as a big deal, and that's more than enough to be perceived as a bigger star than today in New Japan's (or any other puro promotion) eyes.

RELEASE ALL THE FUNK AND FLAIR IN PUERTO RICO TAPES :damn: :damn: :damn:

There's already a lot of there in xwt-clssics and youtube but there's gotta be more :feede:

After Asuka I don’t see how any asian talent would want to go over there

Breh, Yoshytatsu was a failure of a young lion. Got to WWE and treated like a joke for 5 years (on the main roster) and came back to be a legit player in New Japan. That push - that no one wanted to happen - was halted because he fukked his neck and was out for a year, so he became a low card guy....until he got to All Japan and got back to the upper midcard.

Asuka is a made star if she ever decides to go back.

Nakamura is basically gawd once he returns.

Going to WWE is worth the risk if you think long term :manny:

Nakamura probably would have been in the same position wether he went to Vince or anywhere else. It worked for Asuka only because they wanted to market womens wrestling. But outside of that we got our Tatsu's, Shinzaki's, Nakano's. Its never a long term deal no matter how much buzz you have.

Idk if WWE is seen as the big deal they portray outside of their hype machine but it seems to me that people go for money not clout.

In wrestling, money and clout are damn neat the same thing though. If you get one decent run in WWE, it opens up a whole lot of booking opportunities stateside that may not have been there before if you worked exclusively in Japan.

Thats if you are a lesser star. So maybe for a young lion, if they wanted that, thats what it would be. And essentially thats what learning excursions would do for you anyway. You go somewhere, learn their way for a year or two then come back to be a star.

Nah, Naka gonna be #1 in NJ when he comes back instead of #3/#4. He's winning the NJC and/or G1 and then winning in the Dome main event for the first time in over a decade when he comes back.
