I think tanahashi is right :yeshrug:

I also think his matches with Okada were better than kennys matches with okada

:manny:

I also think the same. But Tanahashi's matches have had issues with filling time just because and brushing off stuff they established early just for the sake of having a hot finishing stretch with a lot of moves.

Much of the issues some people (myself included) have with New Japan's current main event style come from what Tanahashi started doing years ago.
Him going :hubie:  at what's happening now - Omega is not the first he critiques, in his book he talks about a lot of people - is funny to me.

Ya well does it top Vader complaining about how stiff Sting was in the ring without any hint of sarcasm or irony?

Nomura/Abe vs K.Hashimoto/Aoki - Death Vegas 2018
Kazuki Hashimoto & Yuya Aoki vs. Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe

Man, Yokohama sucks so much as a crowd, every year they are given dope matches and they never help them reach another level :heh: The c*ntiness in this match wasn't all time high as I expected but there were a BUNCH of sequences that had me legit :russ: at how they were slapping and kicking each other, it's the kind of disrespect you can't help but love. The match never fully clicked and the crowd was mostly horrible - Kazuki trying to hype them up like 3 times was almost uncomfortable - but as I said, there a lot of exchanges that make it worth a watch. The ending fell flat on it's face thanks to a little botch and the crowd being dead, but they had the right idea, I guess it kinda sums up the match: good ideas, good chemistry, but never fully clicked.

I need another Aoki vs Nomura match in life yesterday by the way, those two are meant to face each other for years to come :blessed:

Will be watching the rest of the show now, I'll edit this if there's other stuff to comment on.
A similar silly and lacking in self awareness critique

I get that, but that comparison came out of nowhere :dead:

Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe vs Okami (Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani) - BJW 9/6/18, Saikyou Tag League Strong Block
Okami (Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani) vs. Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura

@SubZeroDegrees them young kids going at it my breh :banderas: I love how Okami can go from feisty underdogs to bully "veterans" depending on who they are facing. This was similar to last year's RWTL match against Naoya Nomura & Aoyagi, with Daichi and specially Kamitani doing a really good job in control, dominating and beating the fukk out of their smaller opponents. Abe does little c*nty things like very few these days, and his flash kicks and reversals are perfect for hope spots and buildups to a hot tag, so of course it works on this match. Nomura, as always, stands out as a no fukks given, gonna kick you to Bolivia bad ass that still doesn't quite have enough to dominate. Strike exchanges were dope as hell, specially the kicks between Daichi and Takuya. Shin-Kiba crowd is right there with them too. Strong BJ delivers once again @Scottie Drippin :obama:

I was literally just watching this :deadrose:

Abe and Nomura levelled up so quickly it's wild, man.

I wasn't hype for BOLA at all but we got a 18 minute SHINGO/WALTER match out of it so sign me the fukk up :blessed:

I'm also hearing Jun vs Jake Lee at Korakuen was dope as fukk (and it was very short), and Zeus vs Nomura was very good too. I NEED THEM ALL JAPAN LINKS :damn:

Shingo vs WALTER had to be good, I honestly don't see how those two couldn't have an entertaining match.

Young Hoss Kami was fukking Abe and Nomura up. :gladbron:
Perfect showcase for him.

Abe has me joked out with his antics and sneak attacks.

The way he slaps Kami during the strike battle with Baby Hash was :mjlol:

Boyyy seeing that shyt live made me hit the Wow smiley in real life.

It was deliberate and methodical with simple moves like lariats and traditional grappling, and in that way it was very unlike the other matches on the card. That is until WALTER got pissed off and started giving Shingo the old school Stan Hansen kicks on the ground.

If you watch the whole show even the crowd reaction is different because the pace of the match began without comedy or any kind of antics. Can’t wait til the DVD comes out.
