:damn:

Former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Ayako Hamada has been sentenced to 18 months in prison following her arrested on drug charges at her home in Tokyo, Japan on 5/13, according to Yahoo Japan.

Back in May, authorities were called after Hamada told a promoter she was going to miss their event because she was being held at knifepoint. discovered her "rambling incoherently and behaving in a strange manner." Her behavior led to Hamada testing positively for drugs, which she admitted taking, inhaling them through her nose.

Hamada, 37 years old, is the daughter of the legendary Gran Hamada.

Hideki Suzuki defended his belt against Uto yesterday in Osaka - last year they claimed a sellout with 600+ in attendance, this year they couldn't get 500 :francis: - and Kamitani will step up as his next challenger (8/19 in Nagoya). On Monday we'll get a great preview when Okami faces Suzuki & Sekimoto at Korakuen :blessed:

On that same show Big Japan booked Daisuke and fukking Fujita (:scust:) vs Okami, and they had dikk Togo working the show. It would've been cool seeing Togo working with Daichi and Kamitani.

In a couple of hours Dragon Gate is having their big show at Kobe. There's bound to be some important fukkery regarding Shingo, as he has demanded to get the presidency of the company if he wins the main event :dead:

Speaking of BJ, I miss Yuji. Hopefully, we see him before the year is out.

Nomura's ascendance has made the blow of losing Yuji for a year hurt less than expected. But I haven't heard or read anything about his recovery this year :francis: Unless he had complications (or a faster recovery), my guess is he'll be back for Death Vegas.

So losing CIMA was a bigger blow that anticipated by many.

Dragon Gate's big show at Kobe did horrible for their standards, 4,500 people. Not even DG could work and inflate that number :wow: :lupe: @The Rainmaker

:damn: That's half the usual attendance

It seems Jae hit the panic button but then deleted his tweets after hearing the president talk about the show:
Jae said:
- Mr. Kido also tweeted about this year being the most profitable show to date. Adding that the company will conduct business with humility, without arrogance, and within their means.

- Obviously, there were fewer people there. Sections were curtained off, there were empty seats.
I deleted a tweet series from earlier about this because this statement made me really think about it.

- It’s not as simple as higher ticket prices (they weren’t) or more merch sales, or just making a statement to cover for a bad number.

- The main thing is, this was a real number.
Obviously there weren’t half the number of people there than last year.

- The other is, fewer comps. The former regime gave a lot of them to business partners and associates, in the hundreds. They weren’t here this year.

- The show itself was real good.
There is work to be done to repair the damage from this split in the eyes of a section of fans. Some are gone. Some will be back but it will take a lot of work.

- Acting with humility, without arrogance, and within their means while keeping the DG standard in the ring is the best thing they can do to get back on track.

Dragon Gate starting to report real numbers

Big Japan's tag league doesn't have a dope guess like Shingo this year, but there's 4 awesome teams that will bring the piff on the Strong block :banderas:

Saikyou Tag League 2018 (begins on August 12 in Korakuen Hall):

Strong Block
Hideki Suzuki & Daisuke Sekimoto
Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani
Ryota Hama & Yasufumi Nakanoue
Ryuichi Kawakami & Kazumi Kikuta
Kazuki Hashimoto & Yuya Aoki
Tatsuhiko Yoshino & Kota Sekifuda
Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe

Death Match Block
Masashi Takeda & Takumi Tsukamoto

Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka

Ryuji Ito & Ryuichi Sekine
Masaya Takahashi & Kyu Mogami

Takayuki Ueki & Toshiyuki Sakuda
Kankuro Hoshino & Minoru Fujita
Abdullah Kobayashi & Yoshihisa Uto

---

Nomura and Abe about to kick the shyt out of everyone
Okami one of the most consistent tags in the world
Suzuki and Daisuke :whew:
Kazuki and Aoki will bring the disrespect and fukkery :ohlawd:

I wonder if they'll get lazy and run the same angle as last year with Nomura playing the part of Daichi :jbhmm:

BTW, this Sunday is Kento vs Zeus, today the champ was pinned by the challenger on a 6 man tag :lupe:

What do you guys think are AJPW‘s biggest problems keeping them from getting bigger than they are? Kento is as good a top guy as there is anywhere else in the world but those AJPW undercards are brutal and not very good. Just wondering what you guys think of that.
