When he started he was a chubby kid and was even more disrespectful, it was fukking awesome because he was always getting killed but he kept getting up and continue to be a pain in the ass. It's a shame he's a got so lean and became a Junior but this tourney should give us some dope moments. Can't wait till he tries to pull some shyt on Suzuki and gets bent into a pretzel :lolbron:

Dude reminds me of Baki the Grappler. Please tell me there's more of this dude's matches in BJWCore:ohhh:

The Strong Climb Tournament has been PURE PIFF my puro brehs :ohlawd:

From the 3/21/18 show....

Takuya Nomura vs. Yuya Aoki

We got another one brehs :blessed: So far this year we've seen Nomura (24 years old) having a "leap year" of sorts in terms of performances and in ring presence by being a feisty young guy that does not give a fukk about anything and will take it to anyone that's put in front on him. Well, what happens then when he's paired up with a guy like Aoki, who is only 21 years old and he also has a chip on his shoulder and wants to show HE is the promising star of the promotion? We get a dope fukking match, that's what happens. Man, if you would've told me Nomura fukked Aoki's girlfriend and Yuya found out on social media 10 minutes before the ball rang I would've believed it because HOLY fukk at some of the strikes and suplexes he hits in this, no regard whatsoever for Nomura's well being :picard: A very, very basic match with another "out of nowhere" finish that I couldn't help but love because of the roles these two portrayed, the hate and the strikes. And of course, all in just 11 minutes :myman: @Don Ibiza Ibrahimovic @SubZeroDegrees @Ace of the Metropolitan @3Rivers

Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Kazuki Hashimoto

Kazuki back were he belongs, being a disrespectful c*nt to people that are twice his size :banderas: you don't have to be a genius to figure out what kind of story this two are gonna tell. As expected, they pull it off and give us a pretty fun David vs Goliath match. Very unique and proper finish too.

Suzuki vs Uto was way better than I expected. It too a while but things escalated to levels I did not see coming, and it had ANOTHER clever finish :obama:

Nakanoue vs Hama had some really good moments too, Hama doing Mutoh's pose only to follow it by the WOAT Shinning Wizard had me dying though :mjlol:

That Namoura/Aoki was :picard: As soon Aoki flipped off Nomura, the match went 100. :wow:

I love it when the youngstas go at it.

Both DDT and All Japan did bad numbers today. The Saitama show did barely above 2,000 on a building that can hold up to 15-19k. Judgement Day drew 5,7k at Sumo Hall, the company is claiming a Super No Vacancy though :pachaha:

Bu bu bu bu puro is on the riiiiiiiiiise :mjpls:

Really looking forward to watching Kento vs Joe, KOD Tag Title match and Takeshyta vs Shuji though :blessed:

Yeah I'm watching the AJPW show now and the shyt looks AWA vacant:picard:. Then again, I doubt AJPW will ever hit does 90s numbers even if Kobashi were to step in Hardy's lake of reincarnation:ld:.

Oh, I expected them to do a bad number. That card was very, very weak for such a big place, though 2k is even worse than I thought.

Of course they are not gonna go back to 90's numbers, no puro promotion will reach those levels again unless something shocking/amazing happens in the next 5-10 years. I'm just adding more evidence so people stop pretending like puro is on a boom or on the rise just because New Japan is doing well and because there's good wrestling from a new generation.

Funny thing about this argument is that NJPW doing laughable numbers compared to the IGOATi days. I guess folks getting the fever that wrestling streams=bigger exposure, in reality, butts into seats matter over butts into a seat at home:francis:. The grim reality is that wrestling as a whole is niche as hell as it was during the Rock and Roll wrestling days.

HARASHIMA & Naomuchi Marufuji vs Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazuzada Higuchi - DDT Judgement Day 2018, KO-D Tag Titles match
https://vk.com/videos289484704?z=video289484704_456244552/pl_289484704_-2

This was basically 13 minutes of these four chopping and hitting the fukk out of each other before going for a nice finishing sequence. Crowd was too dead for me to get hyped over the action, the match was made with the intention of showcasing Higuchi but I didn't think his performance was anything special and the fans didn't elevate it either. Still, this was a good tag match. Marufuji and Daisuke were the standouts, as expected.

Konosuke Takeshyta vs Shuji Ishikawa - DDT Judgement Day 2018, KO-D Openweight Title match
https://vk.com/videos289484704?z=video289484704_456244553/pl_289484704_-2

As back and forth a match as you are gonna get. For that reason this felt a little longer than it was as it didn't have much of a story arc besides "your turn/my turn". Thing is, the strikes and action was good enough to keep me watching. The bomb throwing of the last 3-5 minutes was pretty good too. @Don Ibiza Ibrahimovic you need to get your boy out of DDT ASAP and take that belt off him, he needs at least a year worth of free lance work to get to next level. At this point he's just a generic "go-go-go" style worker when he could be so much more.
